A world bathed in gold

Just a few snapshots from a walk I took on Saturday afternoon, I shared one of the pictures here, but thought I'd share a couple more today. As much as I love winter, I really can't wait for spring to get going. Feeling the sun on my face properly for the first time this year was magic. I'm looking forward to longer days, afternoons in beer gardens and not freezing my backside off every time I leave the house. Its crazy to think that it could soon be shorts weather - last year in March we had a BBQ in the back yard  and it was warm enough to eat lunch in the park sans-tights. Seems a world away from the heavy fog that's outside right now!

  1. I always thought I was a winter person but after this year I am well and truly fed up with snow disruption, cold weather ruining my skin and dark nights.

I have such fun memories of last year, sitting in beer gardens, BBQs in the back garden, maxi skirts and vest tops, and doing more on an evening. Even eating tea outside after work!

I know we don't get many "hot" days but a few warm ones would go down nicely. Bring it on!x

  2. Ahh I can't wait for spring! Surely it can't be too far away! I'm always a bit dubious of those super warm days in march and always stick to my jeans and swelter away (then regret not making the most of it once the sun's gone away again!)
Gorgeous pictures, the colours are just beautiful :)

Living in middle east I long for winter or at least if not proper winter, a little relief from the heat....

    Our worlds differ...

  6. These are lovely! I am so ready from Spring after months of coats, boots and an everpresent umbrella. The fact that Monday and Tuesday were filled with glorious sunshine and I managed to have a walk around the outside of the National Gallery without a coat on has been the highlight of the last few days.
